The Pacific ADA Center supports ADA Coordinator Networks in our region.  These networks are a way for ADA Coordinators to connect and learn from each other.

The networks provide:

  • Monthly virtual meetings
  • An email listserv
  • Opportunities to network with colleagues doing similar work across the state

To join, you must serve as the ADA Coordinator for the organization you represent, but you are not required to have the formal title of “ADA Coordinator.” If you have questions about membership or eligibility, please email info@adapacific.org.

How to connect to your state’s network

California Network of ADA Coordinators

Mission

The California Network of ADA Coordinators is an informed group of ADA Coordinators who joined forces to establish a statewide network to share information and learning opportunities.

The Network is a “safe space” where difficult questions can be asked and discussed in confidence with other professionals. Members are encouraged to share their challenges and diverse perspectives to inform solutions that benefit all members, their entities, and the individuals they serve.

Membership

Network members must serve in the capacity of ADA Coordinator or perform internal accessibility compliance related work for the organization they represent, but are not required to have the formal title of “ADA Coordinator.” Members work for a variety of entities including:

  • ADA Title II entities
  • ADA Title III entities
  • Transportation
  • Utilities
  • Public and private colleges
  • Human Resources
  • And more…

Consultants and representatives from agencies that enforce disability access requirements (including Caltrans, DFEH, DOJ, and similar) may not join the network, however, with approval of the Steering Committee they may be invited to attend specific meetings as presenters or for another specific reason.

Meetings

  • Monthly on the third Wednesday of the Month from 2:00-3:00 PM via Zoom.

How to request meeting accommodations

When provided by Pacific ADA Center/the CA Network

If you are a person with a disability and require an accommodation to participate in a CA Network of ADA Coordinators’ meeting or event, requests may be made by emailing TechAssist@ADAPacific.org at least seven days in advance of the event. We will do our best to fulfill requests received with less than seven days’ notice. Copies of documents are available in alternative formats upon request.

When not provided by the Network/Pacific ADA Center

Employers of Network members support their employees' participation in the Network. Thus, each member's employer is responsible for providing and paying for all reasonable accommodations, including auxiliary aids and services the member needs to participate in the Network. Pacific ADA Center's role is to provide technical support and will coordinate with the Network member as needed to facilitate accommodations. To include an interpreter and/or captioner in the Network’s online meeting, Network members must send the interpreter/captioner name(s) and email address(es) to support@ADApacific.org no later than one full working day before the meeting.
